Recently appointed Chief of Staff to the President and CEO, Atty. Micaela V. Masigan, brings with her the same dedication, integrity and wisdom to effectively discharge her functions, which she exhibited since she joined DBP in 2008 as Manager in the Documentation Unit of the Bank’s Legal Department (now Legal Services Group).

As Officer-in-Charge of the Documentation and Opinion & Research Department prior to her new appointment, she ensured the timely and efficient delivery of legal services. She initiated the streamlining of the documentation project by continually devising Bank templates for contracts and agreements covering bank and non-bank transactions. She also supervised the preparation of quality and timely legal opinions and legal studies.

Her previous work experience before joining the Bank includes: Junior Associate, Herrera Teehankee Faylona and Cabrera Law Offices; Senior Tax Consultant, Isla Lipana-PriceWaterhouseCoopers Manila; and Securities Counsel, Compliance and Enforcement Department, Securities and Exchange Commission.

Atty. Masigan earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the East, Manila and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. She has a Diploma in Development Management from the Development Academy of the Philippines.
