Mario Rey T. Morales
Senior Vice President

As Officer-In-Charge of the DBP’s Treasury and Corporate Finance Sector, SVP Mario Rey T. Morales is responsible for the Bank’s balance sheet management, fixed income, foreign exchange and equities trading and treasury marketing as well as capital markets and investment banking.

SVP Morales joined the Bank in 2020 bringing over 35 years of banking experience and expertise in corporate banking, transaction banking, corporate finance, and global markets for both local and multinational banks, including ING Barings N.V., Citibank N.A., and BNP Paribas S.A. Prior to joining DBP, he was the Director and Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking of the BNP Paribas Manila Offshore Branch for ten years.

SVP Morales graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness Management from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) as a Philippine National Bank scholar in 1982.  He obtained his Master’s in Business Administration degree from the Asian Institute of Management in 1988 as the Sun Hung Kai Fellowship Grant recipient.  He was recognized in 2019 as one of the University of the Philippines College Distinguished Alumni and the UPLB College of Economics and Management Centennial Outstanding Alumni. He is also a Certified Treasury Professional from the Ateneo-BAP Institute of Banking as well as an APMG International Certified PPP Professional.
