This program aims to restore the Philippines’ forestland and coastal areas by partnering with public and private organizations sharing the same vision. By 2023, the goal is to conserve 7,500 hectares through the planting of forest trees, high-value fruit trees, useful species like bamboo and ilang-ilang, and mangroves, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 13 – Climate Action.
Eligible Forest Partners
- Local Government Units
- State Universities and Colleges (SUC)
- People’s Organization (PO) with Community-Based Forest Management Agreement (CBFMA) by DENR
- Other government agencies that have large forest areas under their management
- Foundations and Non-Government Organizations that has partnership with POs
Eligible Purpose
- Reforestation projects in upland and coastal areas, and communal forest and co-managed forestlands
- Rehabilitation of existing forest projects
Forest Partner Qualification Criteria
- Tenurial control over the project area
- Duly registered with governing agencies (i.e. Securities and Exchange Commission, Cooperative Development Authority, Department of Labor and Employment, etc.)
- Planting and Maintenance Plan
- No adverse findings during background/credit investigation
- Board/Sanggunian Resolution authorizing the project and the designated signatories for the transaction with DBP
- Knowledgeable and with resources in venturing into a forest project

Eligible Grant Coverage
The grant will cover 100% of the cost of the planting stocks (PS). This will be the basis of the allowed allocation for the following components:
- Up to 80% of the PS for Maintenance and Operation Expenses (MOE)
- Up to 10% of the PS for the replacement for mortality
- Up to 10% of the PS for livelihood assistance

- Biodata of principal officers and/or members of the PMO
- Notarized Secretary’s Certificate
- Certificate of Registration/ Incorporation
- Latest General Information Sheet
- CBFMA or other tenurial instruments
- Valid ID (with date of birth) of the principal/key officers/incumbent officials
- Planting and Maintenance Plan (PMP)
