State-owned Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) have launched an electronic donation management system that allows DSWD to accept donations online through DBP’s internet payment gateway.
The expanded DSWD e-Donation Management System provides a quick, simple and convenient way for the general public to donate to and support the department’s social protection services and programs using Visa-accredited debit, prepaid and credit cards.
To make donations online, donors should click on the expanded e-Donation Management System link on the DSWD website (www.dswd.gov.ph).
After the form has been filled out including the amount to be donated, the browser will redirect donors to DBP’s payment gateway where donors will be required to provide their Visa card details. Donors also have the option of receiving an email receipt.
Aside from providing a safe and secure transmission of donations, the expanded e-Donation Management System promotes transparency and accountability by allowing accounting and auditing staff to track every transaction initiated through it. The system also enables the DSWD to boost its donation collection efforts while reducing administrative costs.
