DBP opens today, November 8, 2021, its branch-lite unit (BLU) in The Bunker, Capitol Compound in Balanga City, Bataan in support of the Provincial Government of Bataan’s goal for a one-stop location for fast and efficient government services and promote ease of doing business, thus create more jobs for its constituents.
DBP is the fifth largest bank in the country in terms of assets. Its presence in The Bunker expands its network to 130 branches and 12 BLU’s across the country, situated in most major cities and towns as well as in underserved and remote areas to fulfill the Bank’s mission for financial inclusion and provision of reliable banking services for its key sectors or infrastructure, social services, entrepreneurship, as well as the protection of the environment.
DBP President and Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel G. Herbosa said the DBP BLU in the Bunker is its second location in the province in addition to the full branch in Balanga City It is expected to support and strengthen the interconnectedness of the Bank with the offices and agencies located there and hence, support the seamless, efficient delivery of Government services aimed for by the Provincial Government of Bataan.
“DBP’s enhanced presence is our recognition of Bataan’s potential for growth in the industrial, agriculture and eco-tourism sectors,” Herbosa said. “DBP has a full range of banking and financing programs that can help the province unlock its potential and generate more economic opportunities for its people, especially as we recover from these challenging times.”
