NAGA CITY — State-owned Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) recently conducted an investors’ forum attended by members of the Bicol Water District Association (BIWADA) as part of efforts to promote its lending facilities for the water district sector.
The activity sought to increase the Bank’s total loan exposure involving five water districts in the region or almost 20 per cent of the current loan portfolio of DBP’s regional marketing center in Bicol. DBP marketing officials discussed the Bank’s term loan facility for water districts that can finance the improvement and rehabilitation of distribution lines and pipes, expansion of water district coverage, and modernization of machineries and equipment.
DBP, through its Regional Marketing Center and Naga branch headed by Rallen Verdadero, has more than 12 loan applications in the pipeline from various water districts in the region.
