
State-owned Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) conducted relief operations for more than 600 families affected by floods and heavy rains caused by the southwest monsoon recently in Plaridel, Bulacan and Navotas City.
DBP president & chief executive officer Francisco F. Del Rosario headed a team of bank officials and employees in distributing relief goods consisting of pails, rice, bottled water, blankets, coffee, and sugar to 444 families in Plaridel, Bulacan. A soup kitchen was also organized for 1,500 residents in the area.
DBP chief operating officer Edgardo Garcia, on the other hand, headed a group of bank officials and employees that brought relief goods to 160 families in Dagat-Dagatan, Navotas City. A feeding program also benefited 500 individuals in the said area.
