Atty. Maria Katrina L. Infante is the Corporate Secretary of the Development Bank of the Philippines.
Joining the Bank in January 2013, VP Infante was one of the pioneers in the then newly created Corporate Governance Office (CGO) where she was primarily responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring corporate governance policies and programs consistent with the Bank’s strategic direction and corporate values. She also prosecuted and investigated administrative disciplinary cases against Bank officers and employees in CGO.
Her prior work experience includes handling corruption control and prevention programs at the Office of the Ombudsman and stint as a Procurement Officer at the Government Procurement Policy Board – Technical Support Office. She also served as a Legislative Staff at the Senate of the Philippines.
VP Infante holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Tokyo, Japan as a scholar of Japan’s Ministry of Education under its Young Leaders Program. She graduated from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila College of Law in 2010 and passed the bar examinations given on the same year. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration and Governance from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
