Advisory to the Public on Illegal Fund Drive

We have received reports that the name of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) and its officers have been used by unscrupulous individuals/groups in illegally soliciting donations from unsuspecting entities purportedly for the benefit of those affected by the current national public health emergency.

DBP advises its stakeholders and the general public that the Republic Act No. 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees strictly prohibits government officials and employees from engaging in any form of fund solicitation activities for any purpose whatseover.

Individuals/groups who use the name of DBP and its officers to perpetuate such illegal acts shall be subject to criminal and civil actions provided under the law.
