Roda T. Celis
Senior Vice President 

Ms. Celis has over 31 years of experience in banking, investment and finance. Prior to being named Officer-in-Charge of the Treasury and Corporate Finance Sector, Ms. Celis served as Head of the Treasury Group, which has four departments namely:  Asset & Liability Management, Fixed Income Trading, Foreign Exchange Trading, and Treasury Marketing.

She also headed the Market Risk Management Department of the Enterprise Risk Management Sector wherein she was responsible for overall identification, assessment and monitoring of market, liquidity and interest rate risks.  Prior to her stint with Market Risk, she was the Bank’s Trust Officer from October 2008 to September 2012.  Her combined 15 years stint in the Treasury Group and Investment Banking (8 years under the Fixed Income and Structured Products Unit and 7 years handling deal management and proprietary equity trading under Investment Banking and Capital Markets) honed her skills in fund management, financial advisory, and investment evaluation.

She also held various positions in three financial companies, namely:  Philippine Pacific Capital Corporation (now RCBC Capital Corp) where she handled deals in capital markets such as equity underwriting and financial advisories; Philippine Asia Equity Securities where she handled account management of institutional clients for its equity trading and investments; and Asiatrust Development Bank where she handled the daily liquidity positioning, prior to joining DBP in 1992.

Ms. Celis obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University and attended classes for a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.  She also underwent the one year Trust Operation Course in 1989.  Ms. Celis is a Certified Treasury Professional and SEC-Certified Fixed Income Market Salesman.  She has Civil Service Professional and Career Service Executive Eligibilities.
