As head of the Strategic Planning Group (SPG), Mr. Tepora oversees the Corporate Planning, Knowledge Management, and Quality Management programs and initiatives of the Bank. He also supervises the Management Committee (ManCom) Secretariat Team and Congenerics Affairs Unit. He sits as member of the ManCom, Risk and Oversight Committee, Assets and Liability Committee, and other key Committees like Performance Management Team, Crisis Management Team, Personnel Selection Board, Personnel Development Committee. He chairs the Annual Report Committee and previously served as Co-Vice Chair of the Information Technology Steering Committee and 2nd Vice Chair of the Bids and of the Awards Committee.
He began his career as a Senior Bank Official as head of then Process Management Department. He was subsequently assigned to the Central MIS Department under SPG during the DBP Reorganization in 2018. He moved to provide executive oversight to Corporate Planning Department and Knowledge Management Department both under SPG, before his designation as Officer-In-Charge of SPG and subsequent appointment as full-fledged Group Head. As a junior officer, he had his stint at the Personnel Administration Department, Systems & Methods, and Electronic Banking.
In these various assignments as junior and senior official, he applied his extensive knowledge in industry best practices and project management expertise to perform critical roles in the bank’s (1) business streamlining in 1994, 1999, and 2018; (2) deployment and continued certification of the bank to the ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System); (3) institutionalization of performance excellence frameworks; (5) establishment and upgrading of Knowledge Management portal; and (4) policy framework development and execution for branch establishment and relocation, crisis management, innovation, and stakeholder engagement. He delivered quality results and innovation within the limits and possibilities of his office as he rose to the executive level.
Mr. Tepora graduated from the University of the Philippines – Diliman with Bachelor of Arts degree major in Philosophy, minor in Business Administration. He earned his Master’s degree in Development Management from the Asian Institute of Management.
